When you are in your 20’s and 30’s and you want to have a remarkable career, you better be willing to work your butt off. If you don’t work harder at this point in your life, you won’t get ahead. It will take you until your late 30’s or early 40’s to get there. Be willing to work harder to stay there.
If you wait until you are 40 to try to start getting ahead, you might make it when you are 60, then it is time to retire.
along those lines…if you look for work/life balance in your 20’s and 30’s, you picked the wrong career. If you do something you love, you don’t want that balance. Instead, you have a labor of love and you want to spend time doing what you love.
