There are no shortcuts, there no easy paths. I won’t apologize for working long hours and spending time doing things .  There is one reason I’m 40 years old and now I superintendent.  It is because I worked my ass off.

You are a long ways away from really understanding what it means.  Work.  Work relentlessly.  Work tirelessly.  When things are going against you, suck it up and move forward.

I’m not going to sugar coat life for you. That can be your everyone else’s job. Don’t be a lazy punk and don’t be a shithead.

Work harder than everyone else and it will be known what you are capable of…..

Follow the stonecutter’s credo…

When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before.
