Dear Avaleigh,
Today has been even more magical than I imagined.
My grandfather met his great granddaughter for the first time. You would have to know how close we were growing up to understand just how important this was to both of us. He just kept patting me on the back.
One of the toughest men I have ever seen was moved by the presence of seeing his first great-granddaughter.
We laughed, we hugged, we exchanged stories, and we ate. There was plenty of pictures being taken, memories being made, and the magic of Christmas was so present.
In a few minutes, Santa will be making his first delivery to you. I can’t begin to tell you the happiness I feel right now.
I hope you had a great night. It’s one hour and 7 minutes until Christmas.
But for me, it’s Christmas year-round!
