Party Day!

Today is a big day.

Lindley graduates Pre-K. Avaleigh graduates Kindergarten.

Huge milestones at a time when celebrations aren’t really allowed. You didn’t get a diploma, you didn’t get to walk across the stage. I am saddened because I wanted Nanny to be able to be there. I wanted our family to be able to get together and celebrate my girls.

Do you know how incredibly selfish that sounds?

Celebrate my…

We are in the middle of a pandemic and people have died. To this point, over 100,000 people in about 3 months. During the whole Vietnam War, our country lost 55,000…in 10 years! Almost 2x that amount of people in a few months….

and I want people to celebrate my girls walking across the stage.

As you grow, make sure you think about what is going on around you. Make sure you don’t demand centerstage. Keep things in focus.

Life isn’t about you. It isn’t about me. It is about glorifying God. Bring honor to him. Bring victories to him. All of our amazing moments in life are because of him.

I’m grateful for today. I’m grateful for two little girls. I’m grateful for an amazing wife. I’m grateful for an amazing extended family.

Those were only possible because of what God gave us.
