Thanksgiving this year was awesome. We did so much together and it was magical.
On Saturday, we went to Santa’s North Pole to see the princesses. While there, we ran into your friend from down the street, Olivia. We also got to see Ava Grace and Ella. Most importantly, we got to see Santa. The funniest part was when Santa asked us if we had been good this year. Avaleigh, you told Santa that Mom was probably on the naught list because she said ugly word…and Lindley followed it up with saying, “Yeah, the F word.” I about passed out from laughing so hard.
Sunday led us to relaxing. Monday, we had to run to the grocery store and started getting the house ready. On Tuesday, we started cooking and waiting on your Mom to come home. I think that was the most exciting thing for me…just having your Mom here with us. For me, that is when the holidays begin…when we are all four under the same roof.
Wednesday was our first Thanksgiving. Uncle Bobo, Aunt Christie, PopPop or Grandpa, Callie, Jake, and the four of us had the best time. We ate, laughed, visited, and just hung out. The next day, we had Mom and Aunt Kim over for our Thanksgiving.
That night, yall went to spend the night at Aunt Christie’s house. Lindley, that was the first time in two years you spent the night with someone. I was so proud of you. We (me and Mom) got up the next morning and went Christmas shopping.
Then…on Saturday…we had the best time. We went to see The Grinch…the musical version. It was at the Orpheum in Memphis. The way your faces lit up when we waited the play…it just melted my heart. It was certainly a moment I will never forget. When I see your smiles…it just make everything else go away.
Now, we start getting ready Christmas. I hope it is as magical as Thanksgiving was!
